My lovely cousin Bryan got engaged recently (yay!) and we went to his engagement party last weekend....always wanting to give a fabulous, unique gift (preferably that won't break the bank) I happen to stumble upon this great idea from this gal on the WeddingBee here!
I took the idea and ran with it, ideas coming out of my head to quick to write, so i sketched....
I ended up choosing 4 bottles of wine to represent 4 milestones in their lives together. (i.e. first house, first anniversary, etc.) I made four tags to fit over the bottle necks. Each tag said "Bryan & Remy's Box of Firsts" and each had a different milestone. Then i signed each one from me and my husband! I also made a little tag for the box just telling them how to use the gift and just how we wish them the best....
I also put shredded paper in the wine box to cushion the bottles.
I really like the way these came out (maybe an ETSY idea brewing?) so I'm making a smaller version for our friends (2 bottles of wine) for their engagement party THIS weekend.
So, if you are like us, and most of your friends and family are getting hitched around the same time, this is a great gift idea that will sure mean a lot to the couple and won't make you broke in the process! Cheers!
